Alianza Red supports Editorial Data
Editorial Data has the institutional support of Alianza Red, a network of research networks, institutions and academic centres in Latin America. Members of its networks collaborate with our team in reviewing the editorial information that journals declare when they apply to the Directory, always based on public, verifiable sources.
A collaboration for trustworthy editorial information
The academic community needs to know a journal's policies and practices before trusting it. Editorial Data organises this information in an open directory; Alianza Red contributes a community of institutions, networks and researchers that supports the review of the information journals declare.
Editorial Data
Brings together public, verifiable editorial information about scientific journals. Inclusion is free and the verification criteria are public.
Alianza Red
Supports Editorial Data institutionally and brings in members of its networks with academic and editorial experience to take part in the review.
How the networks take part
Journals apply to the Directory through Editorial Data. Our team, together with members of the Alianza Red networks, checks what each journal declares against public sources: ISSN, website, publisher, editorial contact, published academic content and accessible information.
Application
The journal registers its data, policies and links for consultation.
Information review
Our team and members of the networks review the declared information using the public criteria of the Directory.
Publication
Once its information has been checked, the journal gets a public profile in the Directory, at no cost.
Networks of Alianza Red
Alianza Red brings together research networks, institutions, centres and academic projects. Its community makes it possible to involve reviewers with diverse profiles, according to the field of each journal.
