Directory inclusion criteria
What we verify before publishing a journal. Public requirements, free of charge.
What the Directory is
The Directory brings together scientific journals with public, verifiable editorial information. Every application is reviewed by our team before it goes live: we confirm that the journal exists, that its publisher can be identified and that its details are accessible to any reader.
This review does not judge the scientific quality of the articles and does not rank journals. It confirms that the information a journal declares exists, is public and can be verified.
Requirements for inclusion
- Valid, verifiable ISSN
- Own website, accessible and functional
- Identifiable publisher (university, scientific society or publishing house)
- Editorial contact with an institutional email address
- Published academic content, publicly accessible
- Declared information that can be verified publicly
What we do not do
- — We do not grade or rank the journals in the Directory
- — We do not judge the scientific quality of published articles
- — We do not rank the Directory by merit: the listing is neutral
- — We do not charge to apply, to be reviewed or to stay in the Directory
How verification works
From the application to publication in the Directory.
Application
Complete your journal profile and apply it to the Directory. It is free and takes just a few minutes.
Editorial review
Our team verifies the editorial information of your journal within 3 to 5 business days.
Publication
Your journal gets a public profile in the Directory, visible to readers, authors and institutions around the world.
⚖️ Independence Principle
Inclusion in the Directory has no cost whatsoever and is decided solely on verifiable editorial information. Nobody can pay to be included or to improve their position.
Does your journal meet these requirements?
Apply it to the Directory. Inclusion is free and the public profile is permanent.
